I'm working my way through the new Metasploit for Penetration testers book by David Kennedy, Jim O’Gorman, Devon Kearns, and Mati Aharoni and I have to say it's pretty awesome. It's not just about how to launch ms08-067, it's also about the thought processes behind pen testing and compromising …

I'm sure the readers of my blog, yes, both of you, have noticed that I haven't actually posted anything in the past few weeks. I understand that it is customary after starting a  blog that one puts effort in for a lest a month before abandoning it for something new …

Samsung n220 netbook running Ubuntu Netbook Edition

I've made my mind up about the travel netbook and gone for the Samsung n220 with the long battery life.

First Impressions

It's small, light and good looking; everything you need in a netbook. Running Windows 7 Home Starter with only 1GB of RAM is not a good idea. It …

GU10 48 SMD warm white LED mini review

My GU10 48 SMD warm white LED arrived yesterday and I quickly installed it in my Kitchen halogen light fitting to see how it did.

image0The colour temperature is defiantly closer to the original halogen that it replaced, I certainly can't fault it in that regard. However it is defiantly …
