Musings of an infosec nerd

Pre-requisite period of blog silence

I'm sure the readers of my blog, yes, both of you, have noticed that I haven't actually posted anything in the past few weeks. I understand that it is customary after starting a  blog that one puts effort in for a lest a month before abandoning it for something new and shiny.

I've had my period of inactivity and I hope that this satisfies the elders of the internet ;).

For serious though, I've been jetting all over the place in the last few months and have had plenty of stuff going on at home to keep me busy. But I have a little bit of stability now so It's time to get back to it. I have the following to look forward to and I'mn sure it will generate plenty of content.

CISSP - I've gotta get it, my boss said so. Expect some brain dumping on here as I read up.

BruCon - Since my traning budget got pulled and the SANS gravy train is no more I managed to get work to pay for my trip to BruCon. Really looking forward to it.

Wirelsss Auditing - Still working on that as well, although I am thinking of using some of my research to go gold on my GAWN, and I have also had an interesting offer from someone else to co-author on something to do with wireless. When I know the situation I'll either update here to let you know I *can't* blog about and you'll have to look at the reading room/published materials, or I'll continue as normal so you can follow my journey on here as before.

Assembler - Myself, Bacon Zombie, D1ckTurp1n have all expressed an interest in learning, or re-learning in my case, x86 assembler to increase our 1337ness and make ourselves a little more hard core. Expect posts as I come across interesting stuff.

Web App pen testing - I've been playing around with DVWA, it's a pretty sweet little package if you want to play with the most common form of web app vulnerabilities. If I come across anything that I think any anyone would be interested in I'll post it, although I am aware that this subject has been done to death.

Now, off to play with Google+
